We take our name from Kea, the Kiwi Expat Association, which has kept globally minded New Zealanders connected to home for a generation. Both organisations borrowed the name from the same bird. Helping it survive seems the least we can do.

Our Founder's Family Legacy
Farmers, Then Truckers, Then Mechanics
My family came to New Zealand from southern England in the 1800s and worked the soil. My grandfather Allan built a trucking company, moving the goods a growing country needed. Today my uncle and his sons run a mechanical services business that gets hamstrung ships back to sea, which is how the country's seafood gets where it is going on time.
Farmers, then truckers, then mechanics. The ethic has never changed. Show up, do the work, and be of service.
Somewhere along the way we started treating that kind of work as something you grow out of. My family taught me the opposite. The people who work the land, fix the machines, and keep the infrastructure running are some of the most honest, capable, straight-talking people you will ever meet, and there is a shortage of all three.
